A software application for booking appointments at local courts and tax offices was further developed, maintained and supported, as well as being rolled out to new customers

As a product owner, I supported customer projects at a total of 5 ministries in the federal states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Hesse.

I created solution concepts, epics and user stories including UI design in close coordination with customer representatives and developers. I managed the backlog. Furthermore, I created user manuals, provided customer support and conducted training.

Germany

The project manager responsible for a digitization project for the state of North Rhine-Westphalia went on parental leave. I took over his duties on an interim basis for a period of two months. This involved the implementation of portal for online application for the formal recognition of a professional qualification acquired abroad. A portal framework developed by another service provider was used, expanded and integrated for this purpose.

I successfully led a small development team, enhanced the project planning and monitored and reported the status.

This included intensive coordination and coordination with various organizations in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and various IT service providers.

Pre-sales consultant / 2019-2021

In response to public tenders from government agencies in Singapore, Cambodia, Philippines, Saudi-Arabia and Chile, the sales team of a Germany based company created offers for digital ID, eGovernment and ePassport solution.

As pre-sales consultant within this team, I carried out process analysis and design and created solution concepts in collaboration with IT architects, UI Designers and experts in the areas of PKI, eID and passports. This included architecture diagrams, process diagrams and UI designs.

The entire IT infrastructure of the transport authority of a state in SE Asia was completely renewed.. This includes the development of applications for issuing driving licenses including driving license tests, car registrations and the recording/calculation of penalties for traffic offenses.

This includes the construction and commissioning of a new data center.

I started the project as project director and later on took a role as a member of the overall project management as well as project owner for the system for payments-processing (see following project).

As part of the digitalization project of the Transport Authority of the Philippines, a system for payment transactions including integration with financial service providers was implemented, intended to process sales in the three-digit million range (EUR).

I created the system concept, process-diagrams, epics and user stories including the UI design.

I participated in setting up agreements with settlement banks and payment service providers, in coordination with the customer's legal department.

Projectmanager / 2016

North Germany / North Africa

A new border control system was implemented for the border police of a North African country. The scope of the project was to rollout to the national airport and the main seaport and to equip and train the customer to rollout the rest of the border-control sites on its own.

In addition, a system for issuing and managing certificates for reading biometric data from chips in passports - Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) - should be implemented and integrated.

I was responsible for overall management of the project from initialization to go-live, including formal customer acceptance.
