IBM Projects in IT, Pharma and Insurance

  • Introduction of new system development method

IBM project manager and method consultant / 2006-2007

    Germany

A new system development method was introduced for the IT subsidiary of a leading European insurance group with around 1,000 employees. Initially I created the program definition and a release plan for the introduction of the methodology. I then coordinated QA measures and supported selected projects in the application of new project management practices as a method consultant.

  • Redesign SLA for outsourcing contract

    IBM Projectmanager / 2005-2006

    Switzerland

The outsourcing contract with a leading global pharmaceutical company was redesigned. New processes for incident, problem and change management based on ITIL were defined and agreed upon.

  • Introduction of cost allocation method

    IBM Projectmanager / 2003-2004

    EMEA

A uniform structure for cost allocation and reporting on contract profitability was introduced in the “Strategic Outsourcing” division across EMEA.

As project manager, I coordinated this project with a core team of 5 employees and an EMEA-wide overall team of around 25 employees. I contributed to the design of the rate-card based allocation method, in coordination with accounting, management as well as process and IT architects.

  • Development of a service offering for secure internet payments

    IBM Testarchitect / 2001

    Worldwide

Based on specifications for B2B payments from Identrus (a consortium of leading global banks), a service offering for secure internet payments was created. The project team was distributed across the USA, Europe, Southeast Asia and Japan.

As a test architect, I was responsible for creating the test plans required to carry out an e-payment project (master test plan, acceptance test, system test, system integration test, operability test, performance test and security test).
